Love My Way, spent too much mileage and gasoline in dealing with the mistaken identities of Kayle and Kayla. What I must do here is to review this movie from the view  point of Oge (Tonto Dike). She’s  the one starving for love and attention, as she desperately  throws herself on Tekena (Jim Iyke). In the end, she comes on top, because love falls on her lap and she grabs it, stand by it and even toasts to it.

wp_20160918_003Oge and another friend, Richard (Kalu Ikeagugowu) counsel  and even make fun of Tekena on the strange and painful relationship between him and his girlfriend, Kayla. Kayla leaves for a two weeks trip to Abuja, leaving behind Tekema broken hearted. Oge seizes upon the vulnerability of Tekena, and makes love proposal to him and kisses him right there, but just when greater things between them are about to happen, Tekena is summoned to the hospital.

At the hospital, Richard regrets to tell Tekena that his girlfriend Kayla been involved in a serious auto accident and has lost her mind. After few days in the hospital, Kayla is released to Tekena. Curious enough, Kayla could not recognize Tekena as her fiance, nor even recognize the apartment she once lives with him. And curiously too, on their first night after the accident, Tekena finds that Kayla has become a virgin all over again.

At this point in the story, Tekena, out of sentiment for Kayla has gathered a renewed love for her and has forgotten Ogi and the kiss they had in the chair. One afternoon, the strangest of all things happen to Tekena’s world: Kayla arrives back from Abuja and sees a complete replica of her in Tekena’s apartment, vexed and jealous like never before, she leaves. Kayle (Genevieve Nnaji) as her replica is called, goes into a relapse and is rushed to the hospital.

Meanwhile, Kayla couldn’t believe what she has seen and she goes looking for answers and found one in a catholic church where she’s told she had a twin sister. And meanwhile too, at the hospital, the real father of Kayle and Kayla  and the intended husband of Kayle are summoned. When Kayle wakes up from a coma, she yells out her father’s name and her husband, to the utter confusion of both Richard and Tekena. Kayle gives Tekena his engagement ring and went with her intended husband. Oge and Richard are now hooked up as lovers.

I believe everybody goes home happy. Well, not too happy for Tekena, because he didn’t show happiness after he sees Oge coming from Richard’s pad in an overnight t-shirt. Both Richard and Ogi are like, “Go eat your heart out, you can’t win all!” I consider Oge’s viewpoint in the story because of her struggle with internal conflict. In the first place she wants a partner, a lover, in the second place, she has a crush on Tekena and demonstrates so by telling him and by kissing him, but Kayla is in the way. Richard is subliminally in love with her, though, and at a certain point, Oge suspects. Knowing finally Tekena’s in dear love with Kayla, she relents and resolves her conflict by easily falling prey to Richard’s advances. I guess the love triangle went her way than any character in the story.

You will enjoy this movie only if you differentiate the story line between Kayla and Kayla and Oge. Be careful it’s going to get your head swinging at a certain point.
